I'm sharing a recent scrapbook layout today, featuring a lovely photo of my daughter which shows off the stunning petrol blue colour of the dress. The photo was taken about 9 years ago but it's taken me this long to decide on a layout.
My first decision was to create all the elements and background myself and not use any patterned cardstock or bought elements. So I started with white 12" x 12" card on which I painted random stripes of Cerulean Blue watercolour paint across the page. Next I used a piece of corrugated cardboard (so versatile) and dragged chalk paint in teal across the surface.
I used Cricut cartridge Elegant Edges to die cut the border strips, photo mat and journalling mat and Gypsy Font for the name.
I painted all the die cuts except the name with chalk paint in pale blue and then ran the photo mat and name through the Cuttlebug, using a swiss dots dry emblossing folder to add some texture. The border strips and name were then sprayed with Cosmic Shimmer, Astral Mystery.
