Festive Makeover

Finally I've begun some seasonal crafting, nothing major but after clearing out a drawer, mostly full of rubbish, I discovered these plastic frames lurking at the bottom.

I bought them about 14 years ago when I used to do cross stitch.  They have a cardboard and paper backing which made them ideal for stamping, so instead of throwing them out I gave them a festive makeover.
Much better!
I sprayed the paper backings with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist in Sugar Maple
then used a music score stamp and DI Festive Berries to finish the background.  I used a Darkroom Door word collage stamp and Festive Berries to stamp onto a very pale biscuit coloured paper, then cut out the individual words and inked the edges in red.
I'll attach some nice red ribbon and either tie them onto some special Christmas parcels, or hang them on door handles.

They are perfect and how wonderful you were able to use supplies from your cross-stitching days. It was cross-stitching and tapestry which led me to stamping.
Not sure if you are on Facebook but if you are, then you might like to share your ornaments with Darkroom Door. I am sure Rachel would love to view them.
