Art Journal

This morning we've had heavy snow, followed by brilliant sunshine and blue skies - so the perfect time to share this journal page.

The watercolour tree was part of a panel I painted for a Christmas card last year but unfortunately I made a mess of it.  Cutting this piece out was perfect for the page.

I started by using white texture paste and Tim Holtz tree bark stencil to form the tree on the left of the page, which I brushed lightly with DI Weathered Wood and used for all the stamping.  It's a very pale grey-blue which was perfect for the wintery look I wanted.

Just off centre I randomly stamped some pine trees to convey a snowy mountainside.A few large snowflakes and the sentiment finished the page.
