I've been making a lot of cards lately. Not something I usually do but with each one I've tried to do something a little different, whether it's with the colour combinations, images or style. I opted for a cascade-style card this time and partly took inspiration from last month's Craft Stamper Magazine and the project by Jane Elizabeth France, Card Cascade.
2 sheets of Kraft Card 16cm x 17.5cm, scored 3 times to give 4 panels of equal size
1 sheet of Kraft Card 18cm x 17.5cm
Spiced Marmalade; Black Soot, Brushed Corduroy and Vintage Photo DI
Silver embossing powder
Crafty Individuals CI-255 clocks stamp; CI-017 script stamp; owl stamp (make unknown) and WoodWare sentiment stamp
Cricut Elegant Edges cartridge
Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist in Sugar Maple
I cut the 2 smaller pieces of card from the top of the first score line down to about 1/3 on the outside edge of each piece, then folded these in opposite directions so they made a mirror image of each other. Then I stamped over both sides of these with the clocks in Vintage Photo. The larger piece was stamped first with the script stamp and Brushed Corduroy then with the clocks and Vintage Photo. All 3 pieces were then inked with the Spiced Marmalade and sprayed with the Glimmer Mist.
To assemble the card stick the longest panels of the cut pieces to the backing, lining these up with the edges.
The clocks were then stamped again several times using Vintage Photo, Black Soot and embossing powder and cut out. The frame for the owl was cut from cream card, inked with Spiced Marmalade and the sentiment is mounted onto a piece of acetate so it looks as though it's floating, although not in the photo!!
