Valentines Day 1915

It was 09.00 hours and George was in the trenches.  Cold, hungry and up to his ankles in water there was little comfort for him or his comrades except for the occasional letter and this cherished photograph of Elizabeth.

This month's challenge at  CRAFTY INDIVIDUALS is A Fine Romance and as we are celebrating a 100 years since the outbreak of the First World War, it made me think of those soldiers fighting in appalling conditions, hanging on to the few personal possessions they had with them.

Here's my entry using a Crafty Individuals' tag and an image from CI Love Letters 1.  The stamps
used are CI-017 script stamp in Pumice Stone Distress Ink, CI-350 lace stamped in black StazOn, CI-239 tickets stamp (I used a small element from this which is the 'Passed by ... Censor' and one of their free postal stamps.
