Christmas is Coming and I'm Falling Behind - AGAIN

Oh dear, I'm falling behind again.  Never mind, it's nothing that a nice nip of ginger wine or a Starbuck's Eggnog Latte won't cure.  These are a few of my favourite Christmas treats which of course had to be documented on a scrapbook page.
Here is one of the pages from this year's Journal Your Christmas album and along with the references to alcohol and coffee are some pictures of the German Christmas Market in Edinburgh.  We finally managed to go and had a lovely time, looking at the stalls and trying some food.  We went in the morning because we knew it would be busy, especially as it was the penultimate weekend before Christmas but it would be nice to go in the evening to see it all lit up.

A Tale of Two Cards

More Christmas cards and unusually for me, plain simple designs using the same Darkroom Door word block stamp but different techniques.
In the first card I stamped the word block using Distress Ink in Fired Brick onto a plain white card.  The purple frame is die cut using Cricut Cartridge Elegant Edges and used to focus on a small section of the wording.
The border is stamped using DI Seedless Preserve and a lovely little free stamp from Crafty Individuals.
For the second stamp, I simply heat embossed the stamping with Blonde Moments, Fresh Red Iridescent powder.
The stray speckles of embossing powder gave a nice background effect which doesn't really show in this picture.
Anyway, before I finish this post I think that for the first time ever I'm actually going to indulge in a New Year's resolution.  Yes I can hear you all shouting, 'let's get Christmas out the way first!' but it's pertinent to this post.  Because many of the photos I post are not great and certainly don't show the colours properly, my resolution will be to improve the quality of the pictures.
If anyone has any hints, tips or suggestions please post them.

Another Christmas Greeting - Noel

I made several of the Christmas hangings in different colours and variations as gifts.
This one was made in the same way as the blue one posted earlier but using Distress Ink in Fired Brick.  The card was then sprayed with Glimmer Mist in Gingerbread before being stamped with DI Pumice Stone and Crafty Individuals' CI-017 script stamp.
I die cut the letters for NOEL using Cricut Cartridge Don Juan and heat embossed these using Frantage in Aged Scarlet.  The hanging star in each corner is stamped using bronze embossing powder and the free stamp from the November 2012 issue of Craft Stamper Magazine.
