Yes Autumn is well and truly here with the temperature dropping, a light frost in the morning and all the gorgeous, rich colours of the leaves as they fall. The current challenge at FASHIONABLE STAMPING CHALLENGES is to use these colours in any way you like so I've created this card with lots of foliage stamping.
I started by spraying a large piece of cream card with Glimmer Mist in Gingerbread, I then cut a piece large enough to cover the front of my card and stamped randomly over the top with a leaf stamp, free with the September 2011 issue of Craft Stamper Magazine, heat embossed with Blonde Moments Bronze Lustre and Fresh Red Iridescent embossing powder. Then I cut a smaller panel to fit diagonally across the card and used the rest to stamp the leaves again, this time using Distress Inks in Spiced Marmalade, Shabby Shutters and Brushed Corduroy and StazOn in red and yellow. I re-stamped over the top of the leaves and heat embossed using Personal Impressions Clear Gloss embossing powder and cut them out.
I used a cluster of small flowers from a Kanban Chinese stamp set and heat embossed these onto the sprayed card using the Blonde Moments powders and cut them out. I arranged these around the edge of the small panel and stuck this to the card using 3D foam strips for dimension. The leaves were arranged in the middle of the panel and the sentiment, free with a Crafty Individuals order, was heat embossed in red.
