Even though the weather has taken a backwards step, thoughts are still turning to the summer and holidays and this was my inspiration for the Crafty Individuals' challenge for April 'Time For Summer'. Click HERE for the link or scroll down the sidebar for their button.
I decided to make a set of vintage tags to show each destination our intrepid family visit on their tour of Europe and the Americas. Apart from Distress Inks in Pumice Stone and Vintage Photo, black StazOn, some postage stamps and two sentiment strips, all the stamps and images are from Crafty Individuals as follows:
Small, plain white tags
People & Places Miniatures 2
CI-017, script stamp
CI-325 Vintage Car (just the top part of the stamp)
Various free stamps that Malcolm so kindly sends with the orders
First I lightly inked all the tags, back and front, using Pumice Stone and then stamped both sides with the script stamp and the same ink. I added postage stamps where I could and other, appropriate stamped images for each leg of their journey.
So as the family set off in their new car their first stop is London and then onto Paris, Rome, Venice and finally New York.
Cheerio everyone, see you when we get back.
Here we are in beautiful Paris, then it's off to Rome.
Oh the romance of Venice and those gondolas! Then it's back to Southampton and onto the ship for our crossing to New York.
