Flowers Galore

Make your own flowers is the challenge over at Craft Room which ends tomorrow.  Click HERE to see more or scroll down the sidebar for the button.

At first I was going to make a card but then I thought a nice Christmas wreath would be a good addition to the decorations.  After mulling over a number of colour combinations, patterns and textures, would you believe I plumped for traditional red and green.

I used a favourite script stamp and black and gold StazOn to stamp some of the paper then die cut the flower shapes in different sizes ready to piece together.  I liked the alternate colours to each flower (obviously not going for something realistic) and attached the assembled flowers to a ring of green card stock.  Some ribbon and a thin wooden heart sprayed gold completed my new decoration.
