Still messing about with Christmas card ideas and different techniques. This time I used heat embossing but kept to a simple, uncluttered design.
Take a white card blank and a sentiment stamp and heat emboss across the card, running some of the wording off the edges. I used red embossing powder and then red StazOn and Cut 'N' Dry Foam to ink the edges and lightly over the card to give some colour. Repeat the stamping onto another piece of smaller white card, inked in the same way and mount onto co-ordinating mirror board and adhere with 3D foam.
Again, I like the rough, random, grungy effect using this technique but a crisper result could be achieved by stamping the sentiment. Why not mix the sentiments up and use two or more colours or use a mixture of heat embossing and stamping.
